I just returned from three days in the city of lights - Las Vegas. For any of you that have ever been there, you know there’s nothing small about Vegas. It’s all on a grand scale - everything you could possibly imagine, and then some.
I’ve been to Vegas dozens of times, yet I always find something new. This town has a HUGE advertising budget, so they try everything.
Take the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. On your trek back through the casino to the exhibit, you come across a large wall mural projected through digital imaging. When the kids run between the projection system and the wall, the mural bubbles and looks like water moving - and the kids love it. Of course you have to read the mural while your kids are playing - pretty smart move.
The idea behind Vegas is to build a big enough attraction that you’ll always remember, and have to visit again and again. Who can resist heading to the top of the Eiffel tower in Paris (it’s great at night -watch the Bellagio water presentation from a totally new vantage point). Or stroll along the canal’s of the Venetian.
It all puts you in a completely different state of mind - and makes you realize that anything is possible.
