Google Tools You Need To Run Your Office From Anywhere

May 15, 2012 by Lori Osterberg Leave a Comment

Gmail

Having multiple email accounts can help you direct traffic in different ways. Gmail is the starting point for many tools in Google, so get started by signing up for your free Gmail account.

Google+

Google+ is the social media site sponsored by Google. It brings a little of the best of Facebook and Twitter, and creates a fun way of staying connected within the Google platform.

Google Drive

Google Drive is the home for all of your files. Place them online, access them from anywhere at any time, and share them with your friends, family and co-workers.

Google Calendar

Google Calendar is a great tool to keep track of all of your appointments, from business to personal. Access it from all of your devices – desktop, laptop, iPad and phone. And link to different accounts to track more than one calendar. Perfect for families or small offices .

Google Reader

Google Reader is a perfect place to store your favorite RSS feeds (subscriptions) to online blogs. I use mine every day as I track what people have to say without having to go directly to their sites.

Google Talk

With Google Talk, you can chat with people online in a variety of ways and include files and other information in the process. With the video and voice plugin, you can use chat from you Gmail, Google+ or Orkut accounts, or chat face to face using video

Google Apps

Google Apps allows all of your work to automatically save to the cloud, having instant access no matter where you are. Whether you are a solo-preneur or have dozens on staff across the globe, you can share and edit in real time all from one location.
