“I have learned there is more to success than simply wishing
for it. It’s about developing an image, creating a vision, and
understanding the focus necessary to achieve!”
– Lori Osterberg
Lori’s entree into the entrepreneurial arena began as most often do – in the more traditional corporate lifestyle. After graduating from University of Colorado at Denver with a Masters degree in Financial Management, Lori worked in banking, accounting and auditing. It didn’t take her long to realize that her more creative side was being left unchallenged. While still working full-time, she co-founded Eyes on Photography, Inc. with her husband, Andrew.
Eyes On Photography Inc. started out as a storefront studio, photographing everything from portraits to weddings to commercial work. In the mid 1990’s, through a series of life changing events, Eyes On Photography changed its focus, and became one of the premier virtual wedding photography studios, creating their website www.EyesOnPhotography.com. In a matter of three years, they specialized in wedding photography, closed their commercial location, created a virtual studio online to reach people around the world and proceeded to double and even triple sales from one year to the next. Then in 2002, she created her first gift book Being A Bride, her first published work dedicated to the love and feelings of Being A Bride. She has received numerous awards for her album designs, and has received several recognitions from PPA’s AN-NE awards program.
It was through Eyes on Photography that Lori discovered her penchant for marketing. The Internet brought on great success for her in the 1990’s, and she is now sharing that love with others.
Her success with Internet marketing led her to create a marketing mentor firm. In 2001, she co-founded Vision Business Concepts Inc., a firm that mentors and provides marketing expertise to businesses around the world. Within Vision Business Concepts, she developed the Get Known™ philosophy, which provides consulting to people to assist them in developing a vision, creating an image, and setting goals that enable them to stay focused and build successful businesses. She also established www.VisionofSuccess.com, and offers a free ezine that enables more than 3000 subscribers to access her marketing ideas and strategies every month. Through Vision Business Concepts, she has also create a site, www.VirtualPhotographyStudio.com, to help photographers build their business into a Six Figure success.
Lori also continues to write and speak on a national level. She is a columnist for the Denver Business Journal, writing about small business marketing. She writes regularly for many trade publications both online and off. She has written many books and training manuals, and lectures based on her material throughout the country.
Lori resides in Denver with her husband and daughter Fallon. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, gardening, reading and volunteering at her daughter’s school.
