I am an avid reader, sometimes having four or five books in process at a time. I gave the gift of reading to my daughter as well. When she was first born, I would sit her on my lap and read all kinds of things out loud to her – yes, even the business section can sound exciting when you add different tones and funny voices to the words.
Very quickly, I built up her library with all kinds of children’s books, many of which she still has on her bookshelf today at 20 years old. When I was introduced to Sheri Fink, I fell in love with her concept, her charm, and her savvy business sense. Who says books and reading are dead! Sheri proves its not so.
Sheri said, “I write books that inspire and delight children while planting seeds of self-esteem.” And I was hooked. I knew you had to meet her too.
I began writing as a child, and continued throughout my award-winning marketing career. In 2010, after experiencing much success, I began feeling disconnected from myself. I decided to leave the comfort of my corporate job, and pursue my passion for making a difference in the lives of others through writing. My concept – The Whimsical World of Sheri Fink.
My first book was inspired from an experience of being bullied in the workplace and was written while I was still working in the corporate world. Since then, I’ve released 5 children’s books, a play, a line of lip balms inspired by my characters, and was just featured on a best-selling inspirational album.
My first children’s book, The Little Rose, was a #1 best-seller on Amazon for over 60 weeks, I became the #1 top-rated children’s ebook on Amazon, and received a gold medal in the 2012 Readers Favorite International Book Awards.
My subsequent books have all been #1 best-sellers and the series recently received the Gold Mom’s Choice Award for excellence in family friendly entertainment. In 2013, I was selected by CBS Los Angeles as one of the top 3 authors in my local area, a distinction I share with Dean Koontz.
